What BC Style Are You?
Our cozy college in Chestnut Hill has quite a few different styles on campus, despite what Instagram Reels interviewees might say. From the formal yet chic CSOMERs, to the casually cute STEM students, Boston College is full of unique and diverse types of styles. Wondering what style you are? Below are just a few of the cool styles seen on campus in fun archetypes.
Loungewear-Chic Nursing Major
The first one is your typical loungewear chic girly. She’s comfy, cute, and somehow rocking the trendiest loungewear LuluLemon or Aritzia set to her 9am anatomy lecture. She of course pairs a pastel iPad case to match her clean girl aesthetic, and is always on top of her homework too – and looks good while doing it too!
CSOM Bro
Whilst BC is typically known for its “J-Crew with a hangover” and “finance bro” stereotypes, in 2024 this tired style has certainly been elevated. Instead of just your typical finance CSOMer, we have quite a few elevated business chic styles around campus. Spotted in the Fulton with a coffee in hand, this style consists of elevated basics, quality business pants, and cute jackets, this style is cute and ready for the office. Think Rachel Green meets Aritzia meets Fulton Hall.
Flower Girl
This style is Barbie meets Fairy Princess meets florals. You can find them reading on the quad when the spring blooms arrive, or taking pictures of the famous BC tulips on campus. Their wardrobe consists of pastels, floral dresses, and of course, pink. They bring a California flair to the brick mortar of BC. From frilly socks to rosette flower hair clips, they are easy to spot with their floral decorum.
Elementary Education Girly Girl
This style you can always spot in the ERC or walking to Campion. Think pastel sweaters, fun bows, and comfortable denim. They usually have a pastel water bottle to match their fun cardigan. This style is ready to teach, and can usually be found in another new cozy and cute yet kindergarten-appropriate outfit.
Preppy Shabby Chic
You see her at Hillside or laying out on the Quad and she always looks cute. Girly but not overbearing, this style manages to combine preppiness with a bit of chic. Think feminine gold or silver jewelry and cute bows. Simple florals and preppy sweaters, this style is usually found with a matcha in hand and a For Love and Lemons cart on her laptop during her 10am class.
All-Star Eagle
This style somehow goes all out for every game, but in a chic way. You are constantly curious how they have curated the cutest BC apparel. They rock a cozy BC vintage sweatshirt and denim at a football game, matched with maroon bows in their hair. Even in the winter, they have BC windbreakers and beanies to enhance any Hockey or Basketball attire.
Clean Girl
This style arrives at your 11am lecture in what she considers to be a plain outfit. Yet this fit manages to embody the Clean Girl aesthetic with Danish pieces. You can probably find their Pinterest board filled with Matilda Djerf outfits as style inspo. With quality denim and a cute and stylish Brandy top, you envy how she makes the most simple outfits the cutest.
Thrifted & Gifted
This style is the one you see on campus once and NEVER forget. With statement pieces and fashion-forward apparel, you see their outfit in both awe and pure curiosity on how someone could thrift so many perfect items. They are normally found reading on the quad or walking around campus with a cute pair of headphones to match their thrifted baby tees and denim skirts. Usually paired with a signature leather jacket, or a fun accessory.
