More is More

You wake up to the birds chirping, the sun shining, and a difficult decision eating away at your brain: Which piece of jewelry should I wear today? Well, I am here to notify you that you no longer have to decide. Stacking is your solution and your savior.

Whether it be your great-grandmother's locket that you cherish or your favorite chunky necklace your best friend surprised you with, the answer is no longer to choose Option A or B. Instead, I encourage you to wear it all and leave your bedside jewelry dish empty as you fashion all of your pieces. Step outside, let the sun beam off your metallic-adorned neck, and seize the day.

When drinking earl grey tea, holding your favorite mug, and cozily having it nestled in between your fingers and thumb, the experience is improved when your knuckles are bedazzled with fun, chunky rings worn on your hand. If you are not making noise as one piece of metal clamors into the next as you walk from place to place, you are not doing it right. Here is some inspiration that I have recently stumbled upon for jewelry stacking that I have fallen in love with.

Isabella Giordano, @sistergioldenhair

Simply extravagant is how I describe it. More is more and bigger is better. I adore both the style of Isabella Giordano (above) and Lauren Maile (below). I love how they clearly take the notion of emptying your jewelry dish and run with it. Every piece is a showstopper, and it truly seems like so much fun to “overdo” it with accessories because it's not actually “overdoing” it; instead, they are adding personality to their everyday looks.

If interested, some brands that are excellent contributors to stacks are: Thatch, S.C. Collection, HART Jewelry, Bracha, Roxanne Assoulin, Susan Alexandra, Ana Luisa, and Kris Nations.

My first thought whenever I see content that I find inspiring is, “I love this. Where can I get something like this?” However, I think that instead as a community enthralled by fashion and style, we can shift that thought to: “I love this. How can this inspire what I already have?” I urge you to look back in your childhood jewelry box, jump into your mom or sister’s closet, and peruse pieces of your collection that you already have. I bet there is something that would look simply fabulous as you runway walk to your next chem lab or your dinner out with friends. I am already eager to see your new stacks. More can definitely be more when it comes to accessories, but I still think less is more with words.

Cheers,

AB
