Summer 2021 Swimwear Shopping Guide

As summer is approaching, it is time to vamp up your beachwear! I love anything related to the beach. Growing up in the Philippines, I was surrounded by beautiful beaches, and one way I could show my style was through my bathing suits. Since I am in one the majority of my time at home, I own a lot. People tend to splurge on bags, sneakers, or make-up…but I splurge on bathing suits! This is a list of swimwear brands that have always had great options and have lasted me a long time, even after multiple wears.

Affordable Options

Aerie swim has always been a staple, especially when I was growing up. They are extremely up-to-date with new trends and styles, for a reasonable price!

Victoria’s Secret just relaunched their swimwear line! After being on a hiatus for a couple of years, they have a bunch of new styles for different body types!

Blackbough Swim is a place I have never shopped from before, but I have heard many good things. They are perfect for the classic “island girl” vibe with their wide range of styles, colors, and prints!

Let’s Splurge

Solid and Striped is a brand that most of my bathing suits are from. While they are quite pricey, the durability and quality of the material make them worth it! I love almost anything from this brand as they have a good mix of sporty and girly swimwear… plus they always have sales!

Mikoh started off as a small brand that was created by two sisters who are half Hawaiian but grew up in California, and has now become a global swimwear staple. They are a great brand that encourages women supporting women!

Tropic of C is supermodel Candice Swanepole’s brand. The brand has a lot of staple suits with simple, yet beautiful silhouettes. It also is extremely interesting as it focuses on creating environmentally friendly swimwear! Not only does she have an eco-friendly line, but the majority of her prints and styles are inspired by nature, putting an interesting twist on modern swim.

Sommer Swim is newer to the scene than most bikini brands. You may have seen their designs on supermodels like Kendall Jenner or Bella Hadid. The brand’s bikinis are made in Italy, emphasizing the quality of materials. Their designs are timeless!
