All About BCFC
Hello BOS Readers! Welcome back to campus. I hope you’re as excited as I am for this semester’s fashion events, articles, and outfits. This year, I’ve decided to start off our editorial season with an informational piece. Over the summer, our eboard did an Instagram takeover, where we invited our followers to ask questions about BCFC. Those questions are the inspiration behind this article! Let’s start with the basics:
What is BCFC?
Boston College’s Fashion Club is a community of creatively inclined students that offers a space for artistic and professional talent and growth. We are also the only club on campus bridging campus life with the fashion industry!
We have several events each semester, including our Spring Fashion Show, Night in the Arts, and Met Gala. Our members also enjoy the benefits of our partnership with Poshmark, like free thrifted clothes and flower bouquets! BCFC monthly meetings include fun themes like vision board making, fashion show watch parties, and tote bag decorating.
Our connections with the fashion industry allow us to connect BC students with professionals in the fashion world. Stay tuned for our speaker series- we feature influencers, founders, hiring managers, and more! Joining BCFC is the first step towards landing that fashion internship!

How can I join the eboard?
Applications for our eboard will open this fall! We meet weekly and have several departments (partnerships & outreach, social media, event coordination, etc). Our eboard works hard to create events and opportunities for our general members! To balance out the work, we also have social meetings and club bondings. I can’t recommend applying enough!
In addition to the application form, we will hold a round of interviews to help us get to know you better. Writing an article for BOS is a great way to show your interest and commitment to BCFC!

What is BOS Magazine?
BOS Magazine is the online platform of BCFC! We feature articles from BC students and keep our campus updated on the happenings of the fashion world. All creative voices are welcome on BOS!
Our website also keeps BCFC members up-to-date on events and speakers. Check out our gallery tab to see pictures from our events and photoshoots!
How can I write for BOS Magazine?
So simple! All you need to do is email me (whittoc@bc.edu) and Lily (schnuck@bc.edu). You can email us with an article, an idea, or just a question! You can write about pretty much anything you want. We’ll give you edits and communicate about a posting date, and then you will officially be a BOS published author! You will also be a part of BOS Writers’ Club after being published! What is BOS Writers’ Club?
BOS Writers’ Club is a new subdivision of BCFC that focuses on our authors! We meet monthly to connect with each other, talk about our articles and goals for BOS Magazine, and catch up! Essentially, we are an in-person club for our online author community. You can join BOS Writers’ here.
