Time to Start Shopping: A Holiday Gift Guide

Now that break is almost here, it’s officially time to start focusing on the winter holidays. While the colder months might make most people think of snow, ice skating, or hot chocolate, I know our readers are thinking about one thing: holiday shopping. With Black Friday just around the corner, it’s time for the serious shoppers to get organized.

If you’re anything like me, you love to find the perfect gift for every person in your life, and the holidays are the perfect time to channel your inner personal shopper! With inspiration from my own gift ideas, I’m going to take you through a holiday gift guide for the coolest person you know.

First Up: Accessories

FP Super Wide Stripe Soft Headband

Starting off strong with some Free People! Most of us probably wore headbands in elementary school, but it’s time to reclaim them. Headbands add a cute pop of color and elevate any basic outfit to a cool one! A cute headband is such an unexpected and fun gift.

Anthropologie’s Fiona Bag

This beaded bag comes in so many patterns — it is perfect for your friend who loves a quirky design or for your friend who likes to keep it simple. Such a unique and timeless gift — something they don’t know they need!

Aritzia’s Wilfred Scarf

I am a big chunky scarf fan and I love this one from Aritzia. I would never expect to receive this, which is the secret to a great gift! This scarf will get a ton of use, and adds a fun flair to winter outfits. It is the perfect balance between practical and fashionable.

Min & Mon Wallets

A fun wallet is never the first thing people think of when it comes to gift-giving, but they should get more love! Wallets are not purely functional — they’re accessories, as well! No one replaces their wallet often enough, which makes a unique, fresh wallet the perfect gift.

Clothing

Djerf Avenue Robe

For your homebody friend — the perfect robe. Djerf Avenue has such good basics, especially in loungewear! They’re great for winter, too. Imagine curling up on the couch with a mug of hot chocolate…now imagine that, but wearing this robe. Automatically better.

Brandy Melville’s Mary Lou Sweatshorts

I will always go to Brandy when I’m shopping for my girlfriends — it’s so hard to go wrong. From their sweats to their makeup bags, Brandy always makes a good gift. Plus, no one likes buying basics for themselves, so treat your friend to some Brandy tanks or shorts!

Shoes

Hoka x FP Movement Sneakers

For the runner in your life! This collab is pretty hard to pass up. There are tons of colorways, especially in the Clifton 9’s, so you’re sure to find a pair that matches your friend’s vibe. This could be so cute with a matching workout set if your friend loves the gym!

Trinkets

Jellycats

Such a cute stocking stuffer, or just a gift in general! There are so many different animals and amuseables to choose from on the Jellycat website. And there’s even a holiday collection!

Experiences

Nuuly

If you’ve been paying attention to BOS, you know that we love Nuuly. A subscription is literally the gift that keeps on giving! This is such a fun idea, especially if it’s something your friend isn’t expecting. Check out Katie’s article on Nuuly here.

Hopefully this list has some ideas you’ll use, or even better, inspired even cuter gift ideas! If you’re still struggling to find the right thing, check out Pinterest! I always stalk my friend's Pinterests to find out what styles they’re into right now. I wish the best of luck to everyone this shopping season, and I hope you find the perfect gifts for all the people in your life.

Happy shopping!
